About the WSBPS

The Wirral Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted (WSBPS) is a small but perfectly formed charity based on Ashville Road in Birkenhead Park.

My association with the charity began in early 2009. I had met the charity’s fundraising manager, Lynne Sedgewick at at business networking meeting. The charity was seeking to boost it’s commercial links in order to help raise money for a new training centre they were helping to build at Ashville Lodge.

After a quick chat, I offered to design a new logo for the charity. Since then I have helped raise there profile through my experience of graphics design and branding. The training centre was opened on April 16th 2010 but, as is often the case with small, independent charities, the difficult job of fundraising is never complete.

The WSBPS is a real inspiration. For those living on or near the Wirral, I suggest you pay a visit to the centre and have a look around. A dedicated team or workers and volunteers are doing some amazing work there which is truly inspiring.

For my part, I’m looking to spread the word. To let the public know about what goes on at Ashville Lodge every day of the week (and often at weekends at organised events).

Please donate if you can. Your money, however much or little you can give, is going to a very worthy home.
